Just a quick note on the holiday... I've done an upgrade of the site software and a update of our spam blocking software. Hopefully this resolves some of the issues we've had lately with the site running a bit slowly. Happy Holidays to all!
Just a little site maintenence/housekeeping type post.
1 - I may have unintentionally deleted some old comments in my continuous quest to keep blog spam off of this site. Please don't take it personally!
2 - Also, rest assured we are combing the news every day for anything relevant to post to keep you all updated. When we hear it, you hear it.
3 - I'm hoping to be able to do a little refresher on all of the pending legislation sometime this month (key word there is "hoping"). There just haven't been enough hours in the day lately, you know?
4 - Finally, who out there got a new representative out of the election? Now might be a good time to get in touch and apprise that new rep of the issue of student loan consolidation refinance and how it affects many constituents.
Bruce Umpstead of the Lansing State Journal (Lansing, MI) wrote a great column in January about how the one-time consolidation rule has affected he and his wife. The article even name checks CollegeLoanAssistanceAct.org. Thanks for the help Bruce!
Well, it appears we aren't the only Generation Debt out there. We stumbled across another website run by our lovely Canadian neighbors at generationdebt.ca. What a shock to find out their action is also in regards to higher education and tuition costs.
I guess the world can be united around one issue... the importance of education.

Generation Debt was created by people who just want paying back student loans to be a bit easier. We created this site to be a resource for any and all who want to research the issue of student loan consolidation refinancing, who want to make some noise about it, and who want to get their loans paid off and move on with their lives.
