Links of interest
Here are a few links I've come across in recent days that may be of interest:
- A Gothamist interview with Anya Kamenetz, author of Generation Debt: Why Now Is A Terrible Time To Be Young.
- A National Law Journal article on law school debt.
- And finally, in light of Representative John A. Boehner's recent election as House Majority Leader (we're most familiar with Rep. Boehner as Chairman of the House Education and the Workforce Committee, in which many of the bills we back have languished), the Chronicle of Higher Education examines his ties to student loan providers. Certainly his ties to Sallie Mae and other lobbyists are well documented, one only has to look here, here, and here for evidence.

Thanks Diana for all the work you (and others) put into this site. I find it incredibly helpful, informative, and a place to come and silently commiserate.
I'm working on paying off my MBA (started at 90k--now down uner 50 within 5 years).
My niece was recently admitted to Penn, and I was happy to talk with family members about my experience + direct them to this site for more information.
I only wish all of us (heavy debtors) would have had this resource prior to signing our promissory notes!!!
