Win $ towards loans
Student Loan XPress has a $50k sweepstakes to pay off student loans. "Borrowers may enter the sweepstakes once daily, and they do not need to apply for a consolidation loan to enter." This is the entry site. What the heck, here's hoping one of us wins! If you do win, use a little of your fabulous publicity to draw attention to the issue of student loan consolidation refinancing, ok? ;)

I just entered this sweepstakes thing, but I noticed that it is in combination with several other sweepstakes on different websites (only 1 grand prize awarded and that grand prize will depend on which customer from which website wins). So, the odds can't be very good! After you enter the sweepstakes, be sure to go back into the "privacy policy" and opt-out of any electronic, telephone or mail solicitations. Otherwise you'll be receiving stuff throughout the next millenium (even if you don't qualify for consolidation and you tell them a million times!)

An interesting point discovered while viewing this site. I called to discuss their student loan consolidation procedures. While they are not able to assist with any reconsolidation, they did tell me about the "Borrower Benefits," which enables student's with current loans of $20K plus to get their student loan interest dropped by 1.25% if you take more classes and receive another student loan. YOU MUST BORROW FROM A DIFFERENT LENDER THAN YOUR CURRENT LENDER, to utilize this benefit. While it is not a lot, it certainly would cut down a lot on high student loans over time. As told to me, it does not matter how much you take out on the loan, to be able to utilize this benefit. Thought this might be of interest to many of you.
